JORGE JESUS HAS READ RONALDO’S STATEMENT — AND HE’S NOT PLAYING THE PUBLIC GAME
Cristiano Ronaldo finally told his side of the story.
Almost 2,000 words. Detailed explanations. Broken promises. Private meetings. What was allegedly agreed between him and Jorge Jesus — and why he ultimately decided to leave Portugal’s camp.
Now Jorge Jesus has responded.
And it was brutally short.
🗣️ “I read the statement. And now, I’m going to do what I do every day: I’m going to work at the Federation, think about the team and the Portuguese national team. I have nothing else to add.”
That’s it.
No counterattack.
No point-by-point rebuttal.
No apology.
No fresh explanation.
Just “I have nothing else to add.”
And that is interesting because Jesus had previously insisted that the situation was simply a misunderstanding and had denied that he owed Ronaldo an apology. He had also left the door open for Ronaldo to return to Portugal.
Now Ronaldo has put his version firmly on the record.
Jesus has read it.
And he has chosen not to fight the battle through the media.
The next chapter may therefore be decided away from the cameras — inside the Portuguese Football Federation, where Ronaldo could still face disciplinary consequences for leaving camp.
One thing is becoming increasingly clear:
This war of words may be over for now.
But the Ronaldo–Jesus relationship?
That story is nowhere near finished.
