Economic Front (EF) leader Wynter Kabimba is wondering why Zambians always want to politicise non-issues instead of just complying with the rules.

Speaking with Daily Revelation, Kabimba said his own party has made all the necessary submissions with the Registrar of Societies in accordance with the circular letter they received which said that parties were to submit registers of their branches across the country, based on the constitutional provision that a political party must have a national presence.

  1. I consider the provision draconian because it takes a while for political parties to build a national presence. It is one of those unnecessary provisions in the republican constitution because it’s short-sightedness to regulate political parties under the supreme law of the land because of the dynamism of political activity. It might require a quick response to a new phenomenon and you could find yourself constrained by the constitution.

  2. Hmmm just comply. Some so called political leaders have been one man parties for years. Bene Chilufya Tayali, Pastor Peter Chanda, Edith Nawaki etc. They gave held no convention for years.So when reminded there are laws to follow I running their political.parties they will cry prosecution!
