🇿🇲 BRIEFING | K238m Chinsali Access Road reaches 60% completion
Construction of the 15-kilometre Chinsali Access Road has reached 60 per cent, with the project now entering the asphalt paving stage ahead of its scheduled completion in November.
The road runs from Nambuluma Junction along the Great North Road into Chinsali town and terminates around the Post Office area. The project is valued at more than K238 million and is being undertaken by China Jiangxi International Economic and Technical Cooperation Company.
Muchinga Province Deputy Permanent Secretary Brian Sichande inspected the works and expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded so far.
Once completed, the road is expected to improve access into Chinsali and strengthen its connection to the Great North Road, a key transport corridor linking northern Zambia with other parts of the country.
The contractor is expected to complete the project by the end of November 2026.
