KABESHA IS INSULTING CITIZENS WHOSE SWEAT SUSTAINS THE PRIVILEGES HE ENJOYS – Antonio Mourinho Mwanza
He writes
When the Attorney General of the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Mulilo Kabesha, carelessly brands our people as “lazy,” he insults the very citizens whose sweat sustains the privileges he enjoys.
Every day, long before dawn, ordinary Zambians rise—farmers in the fields at 04:00, marketeers braving the dust and sun to sell a tomato, bus drivers and conductors fighting through traffic, students burning the midnight candle for exams, and workers scraping a living in offices, factories, and on the streets. These are not the marks of a lazy people; they are the marks of a resilient nation surviving against all odds.
What Mr. Kabesha calls “laziness” is, in truth, a struggle against an unfair system where those in government corridors live off free taxpayers’ money while the majority fight tooth and nail to feed their families. It is the height of arrogance and insensitivity for a man paid by the very people he mocks to demean their sacrifice.
The Zambian people deserve leaders who recognize their hard work, not opportunists who mock their suffering from positions of privilege.
Attorney General Kabesha’s remarks are not only wrong—they are an insult to the dignity, resilience, and determination of our people.

Check the exact context of that so called insult . Don’t rush to capitalize on everything. There are other many best ways to sell your party Mr Mwanza.
What exactly do you do for a living Mr. Antonio Mwanza apart from politics? We need to accept the hard facts if we are to address the problem of development.
For a start, we Zambians are unreliable. When it comes to time to deliver all you get are stories. Our integrity levels are dismal, starting with Mr. Antonio Mwanza himself. This is a man who, if I recall correctly, said he would chop off his m@nhood if HH won the 2021 elections. We are still waiting for him to deliver on a promise he made all by himself.
Anyone who is building will tell you the absolute hell that this process entails. Stolen building materials, missed deadlines, disappearances. What fraction of the population wake up in the early hours and diligently pursue their task? It is not just about engaging in some activity. It is about commitment, diligence, faithfulness.
Yes, we Zambians are generally lazy and not just that, but also very unreliable. This is a deadly combination.
Mr. Mwanza, what work have you done other than politics?
In what context did he say that phrase Mr Anyonto? Anyways, am not prepared to hear anything from you even if it may benefit me, i would rather hear it even from a guy in chainama I think it will be better. You chaps you said and did a lot of shit while in power.
Kabesha is spot on. Too much laziness abena Zambia. Burundians, Rwandans and Congolese come to Zambia with no capital. They start doing piece jobs here and there including rubbish collection in households and markets. They buy a 25kg bag of mealie meal and cooking oil. They repact melie meal into smaller packages and resell to Zambians. And Zambians are only good at complaining waiting for handouts and heavy beer drinking. After a year or two the foreigners raise enough money to extend their businesses to other towns, opening grocery shops all over Zambia. Zambians will rush to these guys for jobs. Isn’t that shameful? The pf spoiled our youths with free money without working. It will take a miracle to change the mindsets of our youths.
