KAMBWILI WAS INCITING ETHNIC GROUPINGS AGAINST ANOTHER … but Buumba was merely politicking, argues Kabimba

Economic Front (EF) leader Wynter Kabimba says he hopes political leaders will draw a lesson from Chishimba Kambwili, whom he said was inciting fear in one ethnic grouping against another.

But National Democratic Congress (NDC) secretary general Charles Kabwita says now that police have followed through and arrested Kambwili, he expects that they will handle his matter he reported Kafue mayor Buumba Malambo on over assertions that she told electorates to vote for Tonga councillors, Tonga mayor, Tonga member of parliament . . . https://dailyrevelationzambia.com/kambwili-was-inciting-ethnic-groupings-against-another-but-buumba-was-merely-politicking-argues-kabimba/

  1. Please report anyone who has been peddling tribal hate speech to police regardless which party they hail from. Just make sure you have your evidence when you report or you will be the one to be locked up for bearing false witness against an innocent fellow citizen.
Nkandu Luo and gang must equally be reported. There is video evidence of her hate speech. The only way to end tribal hate speech in Zambia is to set an example of those who did it with impunity when out statutes prohibit the vice explicitly!

  2. Watching the video clip, it’s hard to believe there are Zambians in our midst who have such tribal hatred against another Zambian tribe. Mr. Kambwili has gone overboard. This tribal hatred must be nabbed in the bud before our beloved country goes up in flames because of a few careless politicians.

  3. Kambwili didn’t commit any offence or incite anybody, he was simply telling Tongas and Lozis to stop voting on tribal lines. He also said if Tongas have resolved to only vote for fellow Tonga, even the Nsengas should vote for their own tribesmen like Edgar Lungu. Under what law is that an offence? So the Tonga politicians are the ones with a case to answer because they instructed their tribesmen not to vote for any other tribes, but only Tongas at all political levels. So who’s inciting who and who’s exihibiting hatred against other tribes here! Of course it’s one who says dont vote for other tribes, vote for only Tongas. That’s tantamount to telling those people to develop hatred agsinst other tribes!

Probably , you did not follow all the radio programme that Kabwili featured on. There are so many people who have issued statement on voting for their keens. these include Sejani, Nkandu Luo, Buumba, Chanda Nyela and many more.
However, Kambwili was issuing HATE speech, apart from telling people to vote for their tribes.

  4. So, Mr. Kabimba is saying it is okay for politicians to encourage voters to vote for candidates originating from their regions. In other words, Lamba politicians should only encourage voters to vote for Lamba candidates in lamba land, Swaka politicians should only encourage voters to vote for Swaka candidates in Swaka land, Lozi politicians should only encourage voters to vote for Lozi candidates and Barotse land, Bemba politicians should only encourage voters to vote for Bemba politicians in Bemba land, Ngoni politicians should only encourage voters to vote for Ngoni candidates in Ngoni land…ad nauseam. In other words, politicians should not encourage voters to look at the quality of candidates but only at whether they speak the same language and have the same ethnic background as them. Is this the kind of Zambia that Mr. Winter Kabimba and Madam Buumba Malambo want to build? Mr Kabimba needs to be serious. Ethnicity should never be a basis for canvassing for votes from voters. It equally pits one ethnic group against other ethnic groups when politicians begin to use ethnicity as a basis for canvassing for votes from people speaking the same language and having them same ethnic background as themselves. Politicians who aim to foster unity need to canvass for votes across the natural constituency of a shared ethnolinguistic background by persuading voters they are better candidates than others because they have a better programme of action for uplifting the lives of the people they aim to serve. Mr. Kabimba needs to think through what he is saying, unless he probably does not understand the implications of what he is saying or simply has an ulterior motive for supporting Madam Buumba Malambo.

  5. I think our government has a lot of time and money to waste on such useless arrests.

Are they trying to distract citizens so that they carry on with their shady deals while everyone is occupied discussing these tame arrests?

Surely Kambwili was corrupt as a minister. He was even fired for corruption. Why not arrest him on corruption and abuse of office?

These tribal charges will be thrown out of court, with full costs. And then Kambwili will sue the state. Mark my words.

Hakainde should focus on why he got elected. Where is the money that the PF stole? Where are the assets he promised he would recover so that citizens benefit from them?

Why isn’t anyone in jail for theft or corruption? Upto now, there is no in court. Nada!

How much are we spending funding the new fast track court? Is it good value for money?

Hakainde might be trying to pull wool over our eyes. He might be like his hero FTJ. When the dust has settled, citizens might get shocked. Even his own tribesmen might disown him coz of the shame he might bring to them.

I would urge those with brains to keep a close eye on our mines. By the time we finish discussing tribal arrests, or defamation arrests, the mines might not be there, literally.

    Thank me later.

  6. Hon. Winter Kabimba should only aspire to be councillor or mayor in Shibuyunji or MP in the constituency where Shibuyunji is. For it is only there where he can appeal to fellow Swakas to vote for him. He should never again aspire to be President of Zambia. For why should people belonging to other ethnic groups vote for him when he sees nothing wrong with Madam Buumba Malambo urging Tongas to only vote for Tonga candidates?
