King Fred!

They buried him alive but he picked up himself. They grabbed his business which took him 25 years to build on pretext of collecting taxes and expected that he would be no more. He is back. He is now a thorn in their eyes.
It is worth to note that, when Zambia Revenue Authority demanded payments of taxes from the Post Newspaper, the defunct company had committed to remit taxes in scheduled installments BUT ZRA refused and wanted payment instantly.
While ZRA wanted instant payment of taxes owed to it, several other locally owned and international companies where given chance to pay taxes in installments. Until today, such companies have not paid a single dim but still operate freely without any problem.
Was Fred M’membe mistreated? Yes. Why? Because he is not a pushover and does not believe in patronage. Today, Fred M’membe has germinated. His Socialist Party is moving like a bush fire. His mobilization skills are unmatched. His organizational skills are excellent. A party that started three years ago managed to file all candidates countrywide in all elective positions ahead of all other parties.
There is no doubt Fred M’membe is the third force. The August elections are not a two race horse affair.
