KIZZ DANIEL REVEALS WHY HE TOOK A BREAK FROM MUSIC AFTER MOTHER’S DEATH
Nigerian Afrobeats star Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel, has revealed that the death of his mother forced him to take a break from music earlier this year.
The singer disclosed this while responding to a fan on X on Friday, clarifying that his absence from the music scene was not linked to work on a new album.
A fan, @VicroyDominion1, had suggested that Kizz Daniel’s busy schedule could be due to preparations for a new album, prompting him to take some time away.
The singer, however, explained that his decision was driven by a personal loss.
“I paused for my Mom, not an album… Lost her this year, but I gotta keep moving for the rest of the family… sorry I came late this year,” he said.
Kizz Daniel’s revelation offers insight into his relatively low profile in the music industry this year as he continues to deal with the loss of his mother.
The singer had previously spoken about grief within his family, revealing in 2025 that his wife lost her mother in 2024.
Despite the difficult period, Kizz Daniel said he has chosen to continue moving forward for the sake of his family.
