KK WAS A DISCIPLINARIAN, SAYS HIS DAUGHTER

LATE Kenneth Kaunda’s daughter, Cheswa Silwizya, has described her father as a disciplinarian who had passion for Zambia and love for the church and his God.
Giving a tribute to her late father during his first memorial church service at the Cathedral of The Holy Cross in Lusaka this morning, Ms. Silwizya said growing up as his children and due to the busy schedule of the First Republican President, Dr. Kaunda spent little time with his family but that the same little time he had with his family was always memorable.
“He was a disciplinarian. Being a son of missionary parents, probably explains away he had great love for the church and his Lord. We had little time with him but during the holidays, he would take us to places like the Luangwa National Park and the Kasaba Bay and this was the only time we would spend quality time together. We would sing songs as he played his guitar.
“I ask all Zambians to uphold the message he left with us to remain united and do unto others as we would want others to do unto us and relay the philosophy of One Zambia, One Nation as that will bring honour unto him,” Ms. Silwizya said.
