I doubt if this man is a genuine member of UPND. He also seems to be very blank when it comes to money market of convertible currencies. In Economics, money is a commodity and just like any other commodity, its strength is controlled by supply and demand backed by production and manufacturing. You have heard the President always talking about value addition because that is the way to go. Like the current situation, tones and tones of our Copper leaves the country as a raw material, no value addition. It’s only now that we have started producing and exporting Fertilizer, otherwise how do you expect to have a strong kwacha without backing it with production and exports?
This Chap called George Mtonga is NOT a UPND member. In fact he is PF/Tonse Alliance. The fella is very blank on anything. Doesn’t understand the economic fundamentals and how currencies work. The fella is actually perpetually broke with a lot of nkongole. He is one of the illegal immigrants that are on the list to be deported by the end of this month. Right now he is in hiding from the immigration.
