An 18 year old boy of Kkotakkota in Kamukalansi village of Chief Mweemba of Gweembe District in Southern Province, has been killed by crocodiles that consumed his entire lower body.
According to Ward Councilor Edward Gama says the victim whose names are yet to be established was in the company of his father identified as Neco Dadi Putumende who had gone swimming on the world’s largest man-made lake in the late afternoon of Thursday but only realized the next morning that his son had not returned home.
Mr. Gama narrates that concerned by the disappearance of his son Mr. Putumende begun a five hour search on the spot he last saw him until around 14 hours of Friday February 11, 2022 when the body was found.
The Ward Councilor discloses that it’s the boy’s father that revealed having seen four crocodiles eating the body of his deceased son whose lower abdomen had been ripped apart.
The incident happened barely a day after a girl of Siansowa named Lizzy Siakulanga, escaped the jaws of a crocodile that attacked her on Lake Kariba.
A similar attack occurred four days earlier when two people were reported to have been killed by crocodiles on the same lake.-Diamond TV
