LOADSHEDDING WILL BE A THING OF THE PAST ONCE ELECTED PRESIDENT- HARRY KALABA.
By Mercy Mulenga,
Citizens First Party President Harry Kalaba, has assured the Zambian citizens that once voted into office, load shedding will be a thing of the past.
Speaking during a political podcast this morning, Mr. Kalaba, said once sworn into office, he will immediately terminate contracts for power exports.
He has termed as criminal, the move by the government to continue exporting electricity at an expense of ordinary Zambians who are subjected to prolonged hours of load shedding.
Mr. Kalaba, said local entrepreneurs including saloons and barber shop operators have lost their business due to what he termed as reckless decisions by the UPND government.
He said the amount of economic sabotage the UPND government has done is huge as it has never been experienced before in the history of the country.
Mr. Kalaba, emphasized that his plans are not just mere rhetoric as the UPND government but practical steps.

Mr. Kalaba you were once a senior cabinet minister in the late Michael Sata’s PF and even served in the 2015 to 2021 highly corrupt and brutal caderism PF, for this you should know that nothing comes on a silver plate. It is hard work and investment.
As the population of Zambia is growing so is the need of service delivery.
Now, you sbould also know that agreements are very important and have to be honoured otherwise you will end up paying more. Think of the sweat we went through on paging LAPGREEN because of the careless handling of the agreement by your Sata PF.
Hear me now,
1. Some of the agreements on the export of electricity was left by your PF and UPND as a responsible government have to honour them.
2. We had a very severe drought that affected our energy (electricity ) supply since we are reliance on hydro -electricity generation and up to now we haven’t recovered.
3. There’s a great demand of power supply in the country due to many activities taking place in the mines, manufacturing , agriculture, construction and in other sectors so the demand is quite high.
Now! what do we do then because of this challenging but worth it problem,
Solution.
1. Invest more in energy- electricity generation projects. Such as the construction of solar electricty plants, coal electricity generation plants, and also hydro- power plants and spreading them in all provinces since for a long time investment in this sector was static. This is exactly what the UPND government is doing. exactly; which i have said.Unless you are dull myopic and insane

Mr Kalaba, under different circumstances, I would have voted for you. If you had maintained the stance for which you resigned from the Lungu administration and the PF. At that time Sir, you took a decision that is uncharacteristic of Zambian politics, you resigned, citing unmitigated corruption at the highest level of government. In Zambia, some politicians leave office kicking and screaming, but you honourably resigned. Some of us at that time saw you as a breath of fresh air, a new breed on the Zambian political landscape, but then, like someone who had been bewitched, and perhaps so, you jumped back into bed with the same corrupt character(s) you had distanced yourself from. In my opinion, young man, that decision will remain the single most costly mistake you’ll have ever made politically. Like any Zambian, you have every right to aspire to the highest office, but personally, you strike me as one who is politically vulnerable and easily pliable, I hope you can one day prove me wrong, and I hope you do. Please take this advice on the chin, and I wish you all the best in your politcal career.
Harry Kalaba ‘s Democratic Party had momentum from the start..It could have been the alternative to the UPND, but Imingalato by the Mingalatoon destroyed it. I don’t even know where that woman who was used to destroy the DP is now.
This is what happens to bought agents – the spoilers , they are used and then dumped.
For the Citizens First Party, it is proving difficult to gain ground..The zeros at some polling stations in the last Bye – Elections was a worrying situation.
Where I stay , and it is in a cosmopolitan area, where resentment for the UPND is high, there’s no mention of Citizens First party be it at Councillor, Member of Parliament or President.
I advise Mr Kalaba to get back to the drawing board. Something is not working for him and his Party.
Dream on, its fine
