LUBINDA PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO CORRUPTION

Acting Patriotic Front President PF President Given Lubinda has pleaded not guilty to five counts of corruption charges involving over five hundred and thirty nine thousand dollars.

In this matter, Mr. Lubinda is alleged to have acquired properties reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime; among them, a house valued at 260,000 dollars situated at Kingsland City.

He is also accused of possessing various amounts of money in his bank account domiciled at ABSA Bank amounting to 280,000 dollars, which properties are reasonably suspected to be proceeds of crime.

His trial is expected to commence on July 11, 2022.

Meanwhile, former Defence Minister Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba has made an application before the Lusaka Magistrates Court to quash some of the corruption charges he is faced with.

Mr. Mwamba Is facing corruption charges involving over 2.7 million dollars and K 20 million.- Diamond TV
