  1. To declare victory is one thing and to win the seat is another. I believe either the Vice President or the President or both of them are still going to Kawambwa to drum up support for their candidate and they will equally declare victory when they get there. There are so many adages that we can quote both in English and in Vernacular, e .g. In English they say: things are easier said than done and in Bemba they say, ukutangila te kufika. So it’s better to wait and see how it will be on 20/12/24, it will be the voters who shall have the final say and not HH or Lungu.
Moreover in a place like Kawambwa, it’s not even victory for PF or Tonse Alliance candidate if he wins the seat. The place and the entire Province was predominantly PF, UPND has no MP there, if their candidate wins, then they will record their first MP in the Province and that’s more than 80% likely to happen. Just look at how Bally is methodically working, apart from reviving the Mines, HH has revived and is still reviving some dead industries, e.g. he has revived Mulungushi Textiles, he is reviving Kawambwa Tea Company, Mansa Batteries, Tourism in general is being boosted in the Northern circuit of our country by upgrading both Kasama and Mansa Airports. Critical minerals like Manganese and Lithium are earmarked for Electrical vehicle batteries manufacturing at our own Chibombo Economical Zone. Nchelenge-Kashikishi-Chiyengi road will be worked on up to Bituminous standard, Chief’s palaces, Increased CDF, SCT, Free Education, student meal allowances etc. List yakwa Bally taipwa, it is endless. This time, people look at development and not the tribe, I believe the people of Luapula are not an exception, they want to work with the Government of the day. So bane, don’t be too confident or overzealous, mukonfwa insoni, just leave the people to decide.

  2. That’s why this pipo get a shock when the actual results are announced. Same thing happened in 2021, he declared victory then and got the shock of his life when the results came out. Same thing going to happen in kawambwa.

  3. Ghana has done a “alebwelelapo”; USA has done a “elebwelelapo”. Brazil did a “alebwelelapo”. Konse it’s alebwelelapo fye.
