Lusaka ‘toy cop’ threatens to shoot wife for being to submissive
A MAN of Lusaka has threatened to shoot dead his wife of six years because she is too submissive.
Alphed Kabamba, despite never having stepped even a foot into a police college to learn the art of singing songs about human sausages, is engaged as reserve police officer sometimes known as ‘Toy Cop’.
But instead of using the unmerited favour of being a cop despite not attending training, Kabamba who is aged 36 has instead been using his newfound power to threaten to dispatch his wife to the land of permanent sleep.
In her testimony to the Matero Local Court, Bridget Kabamba aged 30 attested that the source of rage is that she is too submissive.
She explained that her husband openly boasts to her about his girlfriend who is a police reservist only identified as Concilia whom he has impregnated and even tells the children in their matrimonial home that the other woman was preparing to bring Chilanga Mulilo for him soon.
“He told me if I don’t leave his house, he is going to shoot me and my relatives will only find my dead body. He went as far as telling the children I keep to prepare themselves as they will soon be receiving a Chilanga Mulilo” Bridget told the court.
Asked if the allegations were true, Kabamba who looked shy and crest fallen like a naked wizard that has just dropped from the sky, merely said sorry to the court.
But as they say, there is no sorry after death; so the magistrate ordered the wife to remain with her relatives until the court decides what to do with the Toy Cop keen on being a wife murderer.
