MINISTRY OF FINANCE TO BRING A 22 BILLION SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET TO PARLIAMENT TOMMOROW
Minister of Finance to bring a supplementary budget to so as to ask Parliament to allow government to spend extra income generated in 2022 from:
1 Savings from tight expenditure control
2 Savings from external debt service
3 extra money received from Donors
4 Dividends from Bank of Zambia
This will result into:
1 allocate more resources into FISP hence farmers will get 6 bags of fertilizer each instead of 3
2 More funds pay contractor and suppliers of goods to the government not paid for a long time
3 payment of all 2022 retirement benefits within six months after retirement
4 allocate more funds to build more roads
This will bring the total 2022 budget to 195 billion compared to a budget of 123 billion in 2021 without creating a deficit .
This will improve money in circulation without affecting the performance of the kwacha.
