MUNKOYO KILLS 2 AND GETS 15 HOSPITALIZED
TWO members of the same family in Mporokoso have died while 15 others are admitted to hospital after drinking a traditional drink called Munkoyo.
Out of the 15 surviving victims who were initially admitted to Mporokoso district Hospital, 10 were evacuated to Kasama General Hospital.
ZANIS reports that Mporokoso District Commissioner, Brian Muyuni confirmed the development to ZANIS on Friday.
Muyuni said the Ministry of Health in the district have since sent samples of the Munkoyo to Kasama to determine the actual cause of suspected food poisoning.
