Mwamba Caught Lying as Alert Citizens Expose False Claims on CDF

Former diplomat and ex-Tonse Alliance member Emmanuel Mwamba has been exposed for misleading the public after attempting to link the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to alleged looting of public resources.
Mwamba had claimed that CDF had become a “looting frenzy,” quoting Finance Minister Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane in an apparent attempt to suggest that funds were being abused under the current administration.
However, alert and well-informed citizens quickly corrected the record, pointing out that the issue Mwamba referred to dates back to 2017 under the PF government, not the current CDF framework.
Social media users revealed that over USD 33.5 million was disbursed during the PF era for the construction of Ntumpa University and FTJ University in Luapula Province, yet only a small wall was reportedly built raising serious questions about how the money was used.
Citizens have since defended Dr. Musokotwane, clarifying that the Minister was highlighting past financial mismanagement and not accusing the current CDF system of abuse
The incident has sparked criticism of Mwamba, with many accusing him of deliberately twisting facts to mislead the public and score political points, a move that has now been firmly rejected by informed Zambians.
