MWEETWA PREDICTS TOUGH 2026 ELECTIONS FOR HICHILEMA

Choma Central Constituency Member of Parliament, Cornelius Mweetwa, says that while he is confident President Hakainde Hichilema will win the 2026 General Elections, he acknowledges it will be a tough challenge.

He expressed this sentiment Thursday morning in a post monitored by Byta FM News in a WhatsApp Group under Choma Central Constituency.

Mweetwa noted that despite 2024 being a difficult year for Zambia and its neighbors in the SADC community due to drought, he looks forward to 2025 with vigor and renewed hope for better times.

He thanked members of the platform for their active participation in Choma and national affairs.

Mweetwa also apologized to anyone he may have verbally hurt in 2024, acknowledging that as a human, he sometimes gets emotionally involved in discussions and loses track.

He called for unity of purpose in 2025, emphasizing that it is the first time the United Party for National Development (UPND) is defending the leadership and power they fought for.

Mweetwa wished every member of the group a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

  1. Yes, there is nothing that is not tough. The exams have been tough so elections must be tough too.Working hard is the only solution.

  2. This is why I like Hon. Mweetwa. Calls a spade a spade. Not giving thru’ hope to HH so that he works harder because he is already working hard.

  3. Zambian Voters, especially abena Komboni, have a Mongrel mentality, very unpredictable. History (1964 to 2021) glares us and spits in our faces. In the past, we have elected really Low Life Leaders and Top Shelf Leaders .
