A 29-year-old man of Ng’ombe Compound has pleaded with the Chelstone Local Court not to dissolve his marriage, arguing that his wife still enjoys an intimate relationship with him despite their separation.
Clayson Zyamba told Magistrates Charity Milambo and Elizabeth Zulu that although he and his wife had been separated for about a year, she continued sneaking into his house to have sexual relations with him without her parents’ knowledge.
Zyamba further told the court that his wife, Febby Makasa, 28, of Old Ng’ombe, had been telling her friends how good he was in bed and how much he satisfied her sexually.
He argued that these intimate encounters were a sign that their relationship was not completely over and questioned why his wife wanted the court to terminate their marriage when they were still maintaining a physical relationship.
Zyamba was responding to a divorce petition filed by Makasa, who told the court that the couple got married in 2018 and had two children together.
However, Makasa explained that marital problems began in the same year they got married.
She told the court that her husband stopped her from visiting her relatives hence the reason she want to divorce him.
