Netanyahu Defies UN Critics, Calls Gaza Genocide Allegations “The Biggest Lie of the Century”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched a fierce defence of Israel at the United Nations General Assembly, rejecting allegations of genocide in Gaza as “the biggest lie of the century.”
Netanyahu also defended Israel’s military campaign against Iran, saying the decision to attack Iran was among the easiest decisions he had made as prime minister.
As he took the podium, dozens of UN delegates walked out in protest, leaving large sections of the General Assembly hall empty.
Netanyahu denounced those who left as “moral cowards” and argued that Israel was acting in self-defence while also protecting other countries from regional threats.
The confrontation highlighted Israel’s growing diplomatic isolation over the Gaza war, with Netanyahu using the UN platform to directly challenge international criticism and defend Israel’s broader military actions in the Middle East.
