Nigeria’s President Tinubu says God has granted him wisdom to continue serving Nigerians

NIGERIA’s President Bola Tinubu says God has granted him the wisdom and resilience to continue serving Nigerians after performing Umrah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Speaking to journalists after prayers at the holy mosque, Tinubu said he prayed for Nigeria’s diversity to be transformed into prosperity, unity and progress.

He also expressed gratitude for the opportunity to return in thanksgiving after a similar pilgrimage before the 2023 election.

Tinubu’s trip drew criticisms from some Nigerian voters who told DW the resources behind such trips should instead be directed toward addressing the country’s pressing needs.
