About 9 Ruling United Party For National Development UPND Councilors Who Gave President Hakainde Hichilema A 10 Days Ultimatum To Open Kalengwa Mine In Mufumbwe District Of Northwestern Province By 10th October 2024 Or Else They Were To Resign Have Been Suspended For Three Months.

The Civic Leaders Have Been Suspended For Alleged Gross Misconduct And Using Wrong Channels Of Engaging The Head Of State.

It Is Not Yet Clear If The Councilors Will Resign After The Deadline Set By Themselves Elapsed Or They Will Nurse Emotional Injuries That Come As A Result Of Unexpected Suspension In A Biting Economy The Country Is Currently Experiencing.
