BREAKING – NO ONE IS LEAVING, UPND CADRES TELL ECZ STAFF AT THE ACCREDITATION CENTRE
Scenes of chaos have been reported at the Mulungushi international Conference Centre, where UPND cadres have threatened to beat up Zambia Police Service officers and officials from the Electoral Commission of Zambia if they are not issued with accreditation cards ahead of August 13th general elections.
Eye witnesses on site currently say the cadres vowed that no one would be allowed to leave the accreditation room until all their members have been issued with accreditation cards.
Among those caught up in the unfortunate event are UPND alliance partners who include Miles Sampa, Highive Hamundudu, and Charity Banda.
The conduct of the UPND cadres to close two entrances, caused panic among journalists, CSOs and officials from the ECZ and the Zambia Police.

This type of misconduct and vigilantism is a source of grave concern….the abductions and rampant arrests are precisely the same actions that caused the PF to be overwhelmingly voted out of power….the same fate will befall any person using this similar discredited and rejected script!!
Now who.are the thugs.
The IG of Police should issue a statement warning any voter who has cast their ballot to simply leave the polling station and go home. Allowing these NRPUP/ PF thugs to hang around polling stations will only bring about chaos. And that will play directly into the hands of UPND to cause further chaotic scenes such that the elections be labeled not free and fair with zero peace. We know their tricks and so should the Police.
Counting of ballots is not a requirement for voters, that the job of the ECZ.
