New Congress Party (NCP) president Peter Chanda says he will soon engage his lawyers in order to sue the UPND for engaging in acts of political violence.
Pastor Chanda says the UPND need to be persecuted for causing harm to innocent people.
He noted that the UPND cadres in a recent video from Mpulungu, they burnt and smashed cars in full view of their officials.
In a vidoe the UPND are claiming to have taken over the country and no one will stop them from damaging the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) property.
But Pastor Chanda in an interview today, says what is happening is uncalled for and cannot be tolerated.
He says this is not the first time the UPND is doing this, they damaged property in Mandevu area in Lusaka, in Namwala and Mazabuka districts of Southern Province, they have continued to harass innocent people perceived to be PF sympathisers.
“What is happening is not good at all. The stance which the UPND has taken is very evil and something need to be done,” he says.
“My warning to UPND is that if this continue, we shall be left with no opposition but report to the police.
And we are keenly following this acts, and sooner than later i shall engage my lawyers so that the UPND can be sued because what they are doing is very evil,”.
