PF LOSES OVER 30 ASPIRING CANDIDATES ON THE COPPERBELT IN RECENT ADOPTION PROCESS

Over 30 Patriotic Front members on the Copperbelt resigned from the ruling party and opted to aspire for various positions as independent candidates during the party’s adoption process recently.

PF Copperbelt Chairman Bernard Zulu has however told Phoenix News that despite losing some members, the party is still intact in the province.

And Mr. Zulu has disclosed that his office is investigating a matter where 25 party officials have resigned and pledged to support a named individual who is aspiring as Member of Parliament in Kalulushi district.

He says the party feels the resignation was influenced as all the 25 resignation letters are bearing the same signature.

Meanwhile, UPND Copperbelt Information and Publicity Secretary Lawrence Mwanza has confirmed that six members that were not adopted on various positions by the party have resigned and are contesting the elections as independent candidates.
