PF SAYS SPEAKER`S DECISION TO DECLARE PETAUKE SEAT VACANT ILLEGAL

Patriotic Front Chairperson for Legal Affairs George Chisanga says the party expected the matter involving Petauke Central Member of Parliament Emmanuel Banda to be subjected to a court process so that he can defend it.
Commenting on the declaration of the Petauke Central seat vacant by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Chisanga says what has happened is a repeat of what happened in Kwacha and Kabushi constituencies where the PF were denied the right to support a candidate in the by-election using the court.
Mr. Chisanga explains that despite the Speaker of the Nation Assembly being informed that the former ruling party has gone to court to challenge the declaration of the Petauke Central seat vacant, she has gone ahead to declare the seat vacant.
The PF Chairperson for Legal Affairs maintains that the Speaker has no powers to declare any parliamentary seat vacant before the constitutional court does so and that her decision to write to the Electoral Commission of Zambia informing them of the vacancy is illegal.

What on earth are you talking about? Do you even understand what separation of powers means?
Legal system? The one where you amended laws with your eyes closed? You keep rushing to the courts cause you have people who will make decisions that will be biased? Observer you are being shortsighted.
The Speaker heads the legisture. Dont belittle her. Just as much as the President heads the executive and Chief Justice, the Judicary. You dont have to be genius to understand that when a person fails to the job, the lose their job. For months JJ (who in my opinion should never have been in Parliament to begin with as a convict when he commited the assult case against the Policeman and Journalist) has been absence without leave. Running away from lawful custody is grounds enough for a conviction. With that in place (whichever way you look at things JJ is not a Member of Parliament. Stop putting a band aid on issue. At the rate you are going you are turning the country into a basket case, the way PF left it. Sanity should prevail. When you steal you go to prison. Please think through these weird notions that you have.
But these people in PF are crooks, no wonder many of their members were,
1. burning money to them it was okay and no action was taken.
2. They employed un – qualified cadres in most sensitive positions in government to them it was okay once such was discovered and removed from the position they rush to court which they are saying has become useless and powerless. What they know better is awakening judges in the night to, and sending their petitions to judges on WhatsApp and they consider that to be legal.
3. Killing citizens and hiding the killer’s who included ECL barber man while the killed person remain for ever in the grace.
4. Killing a procecutor in cold blood ( NSAMA NSAMA ) and regionalism to you is legal.
5. Even when JJ who pretended to be sick and admitted to hospital after running away an MP for that matter who is supposed to be in Parliament but we hear he is in Zimbabwe and very okay while for the past four months someone can say no he is still an MP where is he why is he not coming to Parliament and why is this chisanga defending the wrong and illegality. Surely I don’t know.
5. Lungu during the 2016 presidential petition didn’t hand over the instruments of power to the Speaker was this legal since you remained quiet while it being a constitutional requirement. THE SPEAKER IS VERY WRITE AND AHE CANT KEEP a seat vacant as if it is in your house. That is parliament baba- government institution

The PF political
party is full of jokers and confused people. Honestly, it is foolishness to suggest that the issue surrounding Jay Jay Banda should have been subjected to a court. Jay Jay Banda is fugitive and how can his case be subjected a court when this person is avoiding justice? The matter at hand is abscondment and the law demands that the seat be declared vacant. Where did the Speaker of the National Assembly error?
Better let JJ take the matter to the constitutional court himself not third party to go on his behalf.JJ has shown us some kind of opportunity cost.He has preferred to stay away from parliament and left to unknown place.Who can wait for him,the people of Petauke need representation in parliament.
This PF which is making the loudest noise about this parliamentary seat did not even adopt JJ in 2021 elections. This indeed is desperation for political relevance.
