PF wrangles deepen as senior leaders go for each other’s necks.
The ever present wrangles in the former ruling party PF seem to be deepening with some senior leaders engaged in verbal fighting in public.
First, it was an audio recording which went viral where MPs identified as Munir Zulu (Lumezi Ind) and Anthony Mumba (Kantanshi PF) can be heard trading unpritables. The tirade culminated in Zulu challenging Mumba to a mixed marshal arts bout at Mulugushi Conference Centre before a full capacity crowd. When Mumba declined, Zulu assured him that the fight could proceed even at Parliament ‘where they have immunity’. Apparently the fight began when Zulu accused Mumba of being disloyal to PF.
Today, PF spokesperson Raphael Binoculars man Nakachinda accused former president Lungu’s former press aide Amos Chanda of cutting deals in the shadows with President Hichilema and justice minister Mulambo Haimbe to sell his former boss. This deeply angered Chanda who retorted that Nakachinda was a documented fraudster and perpetual liar.
A few days ago former president Lungu’s former aide de camp police commissioner Chisanga Chanda was detained for two nights by security wings before being formerly arrested and charged. This seems to have caused profound confusion and disturbance in the PF camp with members left wondering whether the arrest of Chanda was a step towards arresting their retired leader. Hence the Tower of Bable event in the former ruling party with everyone shouting ‘mfwiti mfwiti!’ Meanwhile police have stated that they arrested Chanda for hiding a murder suspect and nothing to do with kasaka kandala, as yet.
