BREAKING NEWS: PLANE CRASH LANDS IN INDIAN OCEAN MINUTES AFTER TAKEOFF FROM MOGADISHU AIRPORT

A plane has crash landed into water just minutes after taking off from an airport. According to reports, the incident happened after the StarSky jet left Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu, Somalia.

No casualties have been reported so far. The Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) confirmed that the aircraft went down in a coastal area just outside the airport’s western perimeter.

The flight had just taken off from Runway 23 and was reportedly gaining altitude when it encountered unspecified technical difficulties, reports AirLive.

Eyewitnesses near the Jasiira beach area described seeing the plane flying unusually low before it skipped across the shallow water and came to a halt on the sandy shoreline.

This is a developing story…
