POLAND BREAKS UP NETWORK ALLEGEDLY SUPPLYING RUSSIA’S WAR MACHINE

Poland’s Internal Security Agency has detained six people suspected of illegally exporting military components to Russia. Those arrested include five Polish citizens and a 37-year-old Russian woman.

Investigators say the network operated from June 2023 until December 2025 across Poland, Lithuania and Russia. Its members allegedly purchased projectiles and cartridge cases before smuggling them into Russia through vehicles equipped with hidden compartments.

The exported components were valued at more than two million zlotys and could be used to manufacture ammunition and weapons systems. Four suspects—including the Russian citizen—were also charged with working for Russian intelligence and placed in pretrial detention. The remaining two were subjected to other preventive measures.

These were not harmless commercial shipments. Anyone knowingly supplying Russia with components for weapons is helping sustain a military machine that kills Ukrainian civilians and threatens the security of Europe.

Those who assist Russia should understand that borders do not erase evidence and payment does not remove responsibility. When these networks are uncovered, everyone involved must be identified, prosecuted and brought before the law.
