POLICE ARREST CHILANGWA, CHITOTELA, 5 OTHERS BUT RELEASE THEM ON BOND
…as tension builds in Kawambwa amid heavy Kamfinsa Police presence
There was a heavy presence of Police from Kitwe’s Kamfinsa Mobile Unit amid tensions following the arrests of Pambashe Member of Parliament Ronald Kaoma Chitotela and his Kawambwa counterpart Nickson Chilangwa.
Others who were arrested included Chitotela’s two biological brothers and three PF officers.
The two former Ministers were arrested and later released on bond after a grueling eight-hour questioning by Police in Kawambwa.
Chitotela and Chilangwa are being accused of burning a UPND Mahindra vehicle and assaulting members of the ruling party on August 12, 2021 (poll day).
