POLICE GRABS COFFIN WHICH REFUSED TO BE BURIED AS RESIDENTS RUN AMOK

Police in Mazabuka in full riot gear Saturday morning swung into action and grabbed the coffin were the remains of 35 year old Makelele Muchisali of Kabo area in Kasengo Ward was allegedly rooted in the house of her suspected killer.

The house which belongs to Large Mutelo had its door and windows taken out by residents and replaced with mounted blocks in a manner similar to an uncompleted building awaiting fittings.

Meanwhile, some residents of Kabo set ablaze Mutelo’s house, chickens, maize and other goods on suspicion that he was responsible for the death of the deceased who passed on after a short illness.

Mazabuka Police Commanding officer, James Muluwa, who confirmed the development to Byta FM News explains that Officers broke through the house where the coffin has been for three nights.

Muluwa states that locals had turned Mutelo’s house into a graveyard and wanted the alleged killer to pay five cows for causing the death of Muchisali.

The remains of the deceased have since been deposited in Mazabuka General Hospital mortuary
