POLICE SHOULD NEVER BE BIGGER THAN US…….DR NEVERS MUMBA WRITES

This morning we joined President Hichilema, the Defence Forces, Veterans, Diplomatic Corp and many distinguished Zambians in commemorating Remembrance Day for those who laid down their lives in the two World Wars for the freedoms we now enjoy.

It’s events like this that bring healing to fractured political relations. Through such interactions, we come to the understanding that we share common values and aspirations.

Politics should never be bigger than us, but rather, we should be bigger than politics. To keep enjoying peace, we must focus on our shared history and not the divisive politics of to day.

We urge all political leaders, especially the Patriotic Front to show commitment to these shared values by attending these national events. Lest we forget, some of us with the pain and smell of prison, we endured the shame and still attended these events even when PF was in government.

We believed then and believe now that we were politically mistreated and jailed, but with hope and trust in the Lord, we still attended these events.

Zambia Shall be Saved.
