PRAYER , LOVE, UNITY KEY TO STRONGER ZAMBIA – HH

Today, President Hakainde Hichilema joined fellow Zambians at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe for the National Day of Prayer, Fasting, Repentance, and Reconciliation, expressing his joy and gratitude for the opportunity to stand together in faith. This significant event serves as a powerful reminder of Zambia’s shared values and commitment to seeking God’s guidance.

In his address, President Hichilema emphasized the importance of prayer, love, and unity in building a strong and resilient Zambia. He acknowledged the crucial role the Church plays in shaping the nation’s moral character and nurturing God-fearing citizens dedicated to upholding divine principles.

The President reaffirmed Zambia’s standing as a Christian nation, embracing timeless values such as the recognition of marriage as a union between a man and a woman. He extended heartfelt gratitude to the event organizers and all participating citizens across the nation.

President Hichilema’s message was echoed by other leaders, including Mazabuka-based activist Kenneth Hanchai, who urged the President and his predecessor, Edgar Lungu, to use the National Day of Prayer as an opportunity for dialogue and reconciliation .

The National Day of Prayer, established in 2015 by President Edgar Lungu, has become an annual observance in Zambia, with people coming together to pray, repent, fast, and pay respect to a higher power ³. This year’s event was a testament to the nation’s commitment to faith and unity.

As Zambia moves forward, President Hichilema’s call to remain steadfast in prayer and unity serves as a beacon of hope for a brighter future marked by peace, prosperity, and righteousness.
