Press statement from Statehouse is that President HH has assented , agreed or signed the bill on public service Emoluments into law.
Simplified to the people of Matero Constituency, this also means all former Mayors and former Council Chairperson will now receive their gratuity that has not been paid todate close to a year after their contracts expired.
This Emolument Bill was used by enemies of people some in the system as reason to continue abusing former Mayors so as not to pay them their dues.
What they did know and should know now is that some of the former Mayors have been looking to the same gratuity to purchase more bags of mealie meal to help the less privileged in their current line of duties or public service responsibilities.
