President Hakainde Hichilema Leaves For Brussels, in search of lower price capital for investments to assist Zambia citizens.
This is because sourcing of capital at high interest rates has caused the country’s current debt problems.
President Barry says he will take advantage of his trip into Europe to search for lower price capital.
Mr. Hichilema says results of his international engagements are already bearing fruit.
He says he is also looking at stability, security and opportunities to promote investments into Zambia.
He spoke at Zambia Airforce base Lusaka before departure for Brussels, Belgium.
He is scheduled to attend the sixth European Union – African Union summit slated for February 17 to 18, 2022 in the European city Brussels in Belgium.
The EU – AU summit is held every four years.
On February 19, 2022, Mr. Hichilema will proceed to the Vatican where he will meet the Pope at the Vatican City
