THE PRESIDENT FLIES OUT AGAIN!
By Harry Kalaba

The President’s trips outside Zambia are increasingly becoming unacceptable. He is now in Senegal.

As one that has held the office of Foreign Minister for a long time, I know which trips require a President and which ones don’t. Half of the trips the President has made could have been avoided especially that the country is going through turbulent times in load shedding, astronomical fuel prices, increase in costs for essential commodities, poor fertilizer distribution etc.

Amidst all this, it has been business as usual for our President. He doesn’t even want madam Vice President, Minsters anywhere near representing him.

The question is; when will the President visit and familiarize himself with Zambia?

  1. It is not the fault of the New Dawn Government that PF did not have any vision and ideas to attract collaboration with international organization and other countries. We should now be happy that well meaning countries and organizations are taking keen interest in Zambia. We can not solve developmental problems alone. We need to collaborate with other countries and international organizations. Zambians have a bad mentality of petty jealousy and start rubbishing good programmes and projects where they are not involved.
