PRESIDENT HICHILEMA APPOINTS JUDGES TO THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT, THE COURT OF APPEAL, AND THE HIGH COURT FOR ZAMBIA.
President Hakainde Hichilera has on the recommendations of the judicial Service Commission made the following appointments pursuant to Article 140 (c) (d) and (e) of the Constitution of the Republic of Zambia.
The President has appointed Professor Margaret Munalula as Judge President of the Constitutional Court. Mr. Arnold Shilimi as Deputy President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Mudford Mwandenga, Judge Maria M. Kawimbe and Judge Kenneth Mulife as Judges of the Constitutional Court subject to ratification by the National Assembly.
President Hichilema has appointed Judge Mwinde Stawwapa as Judge President of the Court of Appeal, Judge Abha Nayah Patel S.C, and Judge Yvonne Chembe as Judges of the Court of Appeal subject to ratification by the National Assembly.
The President has also appointed Mr. Laston Mwanabo, Mrs. Mwaka Ngoma Samundengu, Mr. Enias Chulu. Ms. Mbile Muwindwa Wina, Honourable Obister Musukwa, Mrs. Anne Malata – Ononuju, Mr.
Geoffrey Chilufya Mulenga, Mr. Malaro Nyirenda, Mr. Vincent S. Siloka, Honourable Greenwell Malumani, Mr. Mabolobolo Mwananjiti and Ms. Situmbeko Chocho as Judges of the High Court subject to ratification by the National Assembly.
