PRESIDENT HICHILEMA CONFERS WITH LEADERS OF SINGAPORE, CANADA

President Hakainde Hichilema has held bilateral engagements with Prime Ministers of Singapore and Canada Lee Hsien Loong and Justin Trudeau during which meetings he reaffirmed Zambia’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in different areas.

The meetings were on the side-lines of the delayed Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Kigali, Rwanda.

He notes that modern challenges such as pandemics and climate change can ably be dealt with if countries like Zambia and Canada worked together for the common good of their respective people.

He has identified the mining sector as one area that Canada can tap into due to her great understanding of mining operations.

And President Hichilema has described the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting as a great platform which creates networks aimed at bettering the lives of million Zambians.

The President, together with the First Lady and other leaders later had dinner hosted by Prince of Wales Prince Charles.- Diamond TV
