President Hichilema Counsels His Party Members

PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA COUNSELS HIS PARTY MEMBERS.

President Hakainde Hichilema says he will ensure he corrects the governance system of the country, even if doing so means offending some of his party members.

Speaking at the memorial service of UPND founder, Anderson Mazoka, President Hichilema revealed that some members of the UPND had began demonising him because he was not giving them jobs.

He said like some Isrealites that condemned Jesus from rescuing them from Pharaoh, following some challenges they encountered on their way to the promised land, some UPND members had began groaning and telling him to fire everyone that served in the previous government, so that they could get employed instead.

“…Children of Isreal 40 years, groaning, complaining as some UPND members like groaning now ‘give us jobs. Throw out everybody who was in the previous government’,” President Hichilema said.

The head of state said some of his members had even started to question whether the fight for government power was worth while.

“I understand some of you are saying ‘what were we fighting for?’,” President Hichilema said.

“20 senior people have come to me to say ‘we want to be employed’. I said alright, which job do you want?. Someone said ‘DMMU’. 20 People ! why DMMU? Your guess is as good as mine. They have seen the one who was building mansions at the expense of the vulnerable children. Aikona Man !.”
