PRESIDENT HICHILEMA TO GRACE NSAKWA YABA KAONDE CEREMONY
All is set for the hosting of Nsakwa Yaba Kaonde traditional ceremony slated for tomorrow Saturday, October 19th, 2024, in Kasempa District of Northwestern Province
Nsakwa Yaba Kaonde National Treasurer, Thomson Kyamato ,has told ZANIS in an interview that the event will be held at Kaimbwe area where the Kaondes forefathers fought for land with their tribal cousins among them the Nkoyas.
Mr Kyamato said the area has a lot of traditional memories, one of them is where the forefathers used to extract salt which has a lot of health benefits.
“The preparations are going on well, this is the Kaonde traditional ceremony for all our royal highnesses in North-western and Central provinces where we have three in Mumbwa district,” he said.
He has appealed to the Kaonde people to come in large numbers and attend the ceremony saying there will be a lot of displays among them traditional food and performances.
He said Kaondes are proud people who love and believe in their traditions which they do not want to see perish but passed on to the next generation.
President Hakainde Hichilema is expected to grace the event which is expected to host 14 Kaonde traditional leaders .
