PRESIDENTIAL ADVISORS ATTEMPT TO SCUTTLE PRESIDENTIAL APPOINTMENT

“Announcement deleted from HH’s social-media pages”

Chipokota Mwanawasa, who is currently an intern in the office of the Principal Private Secretary has NOT been appointed as State House Special Assistant for Policy.

Infact, it has emerged that President Hakainde Hichilema was considering and earmarked the position of Special Assistant for Policy to renowned Policy expert, Michelle Morrel but the presidential advisors tried to sabotage the appointment by prematurely announcing that the apprentice, Chipokota, had been appointed.

Michelle founded PMRC as a Policy think-tank.

Senior UPND officials have expressed concern at the manner State House aides are dealing with appointments and in some cases sabotaging presidential intentions and directives.

The announcement and appointment of Chipokota Mwanawasa has since been deleted from President Hichilema’s social-media page.

President Hichilema recently bemoaned that Diplomats were recalled from their foreign stations without his directive or knowledge and their replacements were made without his input.

President Hichilema has since directed that announcements of appointees will only be done after the swearing-in ceremony or for those that do not require the ceremony, an official appointment letter had been issued.
