SAD DEATH: Criminals Gun Down Mwandi’s Zunda
A prominent businessman of Mwandi District in Western Province who also aspired on the UPND ticket but lost at primary level has been shot dead.
Lisulo Siloba, aged 39 and is commonly known as Zunda, was shot by unknown criminals in his yard at around 20hours on Thursday night.
The criminals shot him in the abdomen in the presence of his wife soon as he just entered his yard from his wholesale shop and went away with undisclosed amount of money.
Shortly after he was shot, Mr Siloba was rushed at Mwandi Mission Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
After he was not adopted by the UPND in the 2021 General election, he become popular on the ground and decided to contest as an independent and become second to honourable Sibeso Kakoma Sefulo – the current Member of Parliament (MP) for Mwandi.
The late Siloba is survived by a wife and three (3) children.
Meanwhile, Police in Mwandi district have requested the community to help with the information that will lead to the apprehension of the criminals.
