PUTIN: RUSSIA WAS READY TO RESUME TALKS THEN UKRAINE ATTACKED
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow was prepared to resume peace negotiations with Kyiv following Russia’s parliamentary elections, but claimed that recent Ukrainian attacks changed the situation
Putin said Russia’s peace proposals remain on the table and that Moscow would consider its response to the reported attacks.
Meanwhile, reports say U.S. President Donald Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to meet Putin in Moscow as part of efforts to pursue peace negotiations.
Moscow continues to state that the door to negotiations remains open, despite ongoing military hostilities between Russia and Ukraine.
