Opposition People’s Alliance for Change-PAC-has described the recently announced investment and reopening of the Mulungushi textile by government as a political ploy meant to win peoples votes ahead of the general elections.
In an interview with Phoenix News, PAC leader, Andyford Banda has since cautioned Zambians not to be swayed by this political gimmick which happens every time the country has an election.
Mr Banda adds that it is unfortunate that the ruling patriotic front party continues to take advantage of the Zambian people by not fulfilling their previous promises.
Over 14 million Kwacha has been injected into the china Mulungushi textiles limited in Kabwe central province to boost operations at the ginnery with the Zambian government investing 10 million while the Chinese government investing 4.5 million Kwacha into the factory.
