REZA PAHLAVI URGES TRUMP NOT TO MEET IRANIAN PRESIDENT
Iranian opposition figure Reza Pahlavi has urged U.S. President Donald Trump not to seek a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, arguing that such talks would not produce any significant change.
Speaking to Fox News, Pahlavi said Pezeshkian is essentially only a “label” because, in his view, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) holds the country’s real power.
🗣️ “I don’t expect anything else to come out of it, especially from someone like Pezeshkian, because when the country is de facto run by the Revolutionary Guards, anyone who adopts the slightest moderate tone would be accused internally of betraying the system,” Pahlavi said.
His comments come amid ongoing discussions over possible U.S.-Iran diplomatic contacts and the future of relations between Washington and Tehran.
