R!TUAL SHRINE WITH DE*D ANIMALS, STACKS OF CASH, DISCOVERED IN KAMWALA SOUTH HOUSE
……“Police haven’t done much, they just came, got the money and left”, concerned residents tell Councillor
Shocked residents of Kamwala South this morning sought the intervention of their area councillor Mainda Simataa, after a house believed to be used as a shr!ne for r!tuals was discovered and reported to police on Saturday; but residents have complained that no follow-up action has been taken since police raided the house and impounded stacks of cash.
The shr!ne was discovered early on Saturday morning after a de*d goat and chicken carcass wrapped in red cloth were discovered dumped in the middle of the road, and were traced back to the house, were more skeletons of de*d animals were discovered in the backyard, prompting the community to alert police.
The residents said that officers called in from Maxwell Sibongo Police station of Kamwala South forced open the doors to gain access to the house, where undisclosed stacks of cash, and all manner of diabolic instruments and writings believed to be used in ritual activities were discovered.
Meanwhile, councillor Hon. Mainda Simataa who visited the scene this morning has promised to follow up the matter with police command, adding that the discovery of the shrine within the community cannot be taken lightly, as it brought back memories of the kidnappings of Pamela and 11 others who were rescued from a shrine in Chalala which bore striking similarities similarities to the one in Kamwala South.
