Russia Demonstrates Drone Swarm Warfare During Center-2026 Drills
Russia has demonstrated coordinated FPV drone swarm tactics during the Center-2026 strategic military exercises, using unmanned aircraft to support assault groups attacking simulated enemy positions.
Russian forces used FPV drones to strike identified firing positions while assault groups advanced simultaneously from multiple directions.
More than 600 unmanned aerial vehicles were deployed during the exercises, alongside more than 60 robotic ground systems, highlighting the growing role of drones and robotics in Russia’s modern battlefield tactics.
Chinese forces also participated in the multinational drills, gaining exposure to Russia’s use of drones, counter-drone systems and electronic warfare.
