BREAKING: Russia Supplies Advanced Missiles to Iran, Bloomberg Reports
Western intelligence assessments indicate that Iran has integrated newly supplied Russian-made weapons as Tehran seeks to replenish a significant portion of its depleted missile and ammunition stockpiles, according to Bloomberg.
A separate investigation by the Financial Times reportedly uncovered a clandestine programme in which Russian specialists are cooperating with Iran to develop supersonic cruise missiles designed to threaten U.S. Navy warships and aircraft carriers operating in the Middle East.
The reported military cooperation comes as Russia benefits from Iran’s extensive support for its war in Ukraine. Tehran has reportedly supplied Moscow with approximately $2.7 billion worth of ballistic and surface-to-air missiles, including Fath-360 systems, while also transferring technology used in its Shahed attack drones.
The reported developments highlight the deepening military partnership between Moscow and Tehran, with Russian assistance potentially helping Iran rebuild its missile capabilities while expanding its ability to threaten U.S. naval forces in the region.
