Russian forces struck residential areas in the southeastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia with five guided aerial bombs on October 10, damaging apartment buildings and leaving civilians dead and injured
Ukraine’s emergency services reported that the death toll had risen to 15, including three children, with 16 others injured. Search-and-rescue teams continued working at the scene as authorities assessed the destruction and searched for people who may still be missing..
The strikes also damaged residential infrastructure, while Russian attacks overnight affected 13 Ukrainian regions, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Emergency crews remain on site as Ukraine continues rescue operations following the deadly bombardment.
