Samuel Eto’o declared father of a 22-year-old woman by the Madrid court!

The Madrid Court of First Instance ruled that Samuel Eto’o was indeed the father of 22-year-old Erika Do Rosario Nieves after the Cameroonian was declared in default for failing to appear for trial. The young woman’s mother, Adileusa, and the footballer reportedly met at a Madrid nightclub in 1997 – when the player was playing for the Leganés club – after being introduced by a mutual friend who worked at a nightclub.

According to the lawsuit, following this relationship, in February 1998, Adileusa discovered that she was pregnant, and told Eto’o. She would then have told the player that she did not want this child, but that she “would act responsibly with regard to their common child”. The girl’s lawyer added that during the pregnancy, her mother “tried to contact the future father, but he did not answer her phone calls or emails”. Nor even when she warned him by message that she was going to give birth.

The child was born in 1999 in Madrid, when the Indomitable Lion played for RCD Espanyol (the year of her 18th birthday), without the player recognizing her at any time. To advance the case, the young woman provided biological evidence to support her testimony, which led the judge to admit the lawsuit, although Sameto never complied with the court’s requests. The sentence condemns the ex-footballer to pay a monthly pension of 1400 euros to the young woman, retroactively from the moment the complaint was filed.

He who absolutely wanted to pay bonuses to the players of Cameroon will at least be able to use this money to pay the pensions he owes.
